✅ Legal in the Netherlands

Magic truffles (Psilocybe tampanensis) naturally grow underground and are technically sclerotia, not mushrooms. Because of this classification, they do not fall under the Dutch ban on magic mushrooms that was enacted in 2008. The law specifically targets mushrooms (“De Paddestoel”)—not truffles—making fresh psilocybin truffles fully legal in the Netherlands.

📘 EU Regulations

According to the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA), truffles and mushrooms are classified as botanicals. These natural substances are included in the European guidelines for herbs and botanicals sold as food supplements.

Our truffles naturally contain between 1 to 2 mg of psilocybin per gram of fresh truffle, and are produced under strict safety and quality control standards.

Note: Possession of isolated or synthetic psilocybin is restricted under the Convention on Psychotropic Substances. However, natural products such as magic truffles are specifically excluded from this ban under Article 32, point 12 of the treaty.

This EU law states that if a product is legally sold in one EU member state (such as the Netherlands), it may also be legally sold and shipped to consumers in other member states.

While shipping is allowed under EU law, local regulations may differ when it comes to possession or use. Some regions may restrict or prohibit psilocybin products. In practice, these issues rarely arise—but if your package is intercepted or seized, we’ve got your back.
